I Kind Of Love ... This Video.

Emeli Sandé, someone whom I've been ranting and raving about for quite some time now, has released her latest and greatest in music videos for new single, My Kind Of Love. The second track from the beaut's debut album, Our Version Of Events, has ended up being my most played from it and I think the video, despite being a little tame, sends across an absolutely stunning message.
If you'll have read about Emeli, then you'll know that before becoming a successful singer, she was studying for a degree in medicine and the video behind this heart-wrenching song was mused by her experiences with patients.
Skins actress, Laya Lewis plays a cancer patient within the track that it seems Emeli used to know. The frail young woman enjoys laughs, smiles and memories with her, but there's always a flicker of worry on both of the faces which makes it all too real. It's obvious that Emeli has felt these emotions before and her portrayal as a friend to the patient is sweet and could send some to tears.
Fortunately, the expected never happens to Laya Lewis' character, but the ending shot, in which Emeli and Laya hold hands whilst on some park swings is a fond and particularly emotive screen that complements every part of this beautiful song.

The song has been one of my favourites for a long while, and the video is soon to enter that list too.
Paul.
