Another Fun. #1 On The Cards.

Fun. who I recently featured when their single, We Are Young, gained success on the American Billboard chart have shined some light on the next single that they will be releasing ... My goodness, this new band can make some cracking music.

This is Some Nights and the initial thought I got from this one was that they had massive influences from the likes of Vampire Weekend or Friendly Fires. It just has the whole tribal, aztec themed vibe to it that I've so often heard in the album, Contra. However, when it gets into it, and this shocked me, I heard a massive likeness to the late, great, Queen Frontman Freddie Mercury and, particularly at 00:53, I think you'd agree.
Overall, this is an absolutely bloody amazing track that keeps you in awe for it's four and a half minute entirety ... despite entering the dreaded realms of intentionally noticeable auto-tune - now surely that's a bit of a feat, to keep listeners gagging for more despite using masses of auto-tune!!!

This is a track for everyone. One that shines a coat of sunshine over the gloomiest of atmospheres and, surely, another number one.
